Course Description: AI Game Creation Course (6th Grade Level)
In this course, students will learn how to create their own video games while discovering how artificial intelligence works in a fun and simple way. Using Scratch, students will explore how games make decisions, respond to players, and create challenges using rules and logic.
The course starts with the basics, like setting up Scratch, moving characters, and controlling games with the keyboard. Students will then learn how to make games more exciting by adding sound effects, dialogue, scoring systems, timers, and win or lose conditions. They will also build simple “smart” characters that react to what the player does.
Throughout the course, students will complete small projects that help them practice what they learn. They will also learn how to fix mistakes, improve gameplay, and make their games smoother and more fun to play.
At the end of the course, students will design and build a final game from start to finish. They will test it, improve it, and share it with others while reflecting on what they learned. This course is perfect for beginners who enjoy games and want to learn coding, problem solving, and creative thinking in an engaging way.
